Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a large group of diverse learners. Half of my students are in the gifted and talented program, and they are so excited to learn new things everyday. The second half of my students are english language learners from multiple countries around the world. These students love a good challenge and are always thinking outside the box.
These students are extremely hardworking and are eager to learn with their peers.
Having multiple students who are trying to master the content and learn English all at the same time has its challenges but is extremely rewarding. These students love helping their peers master new skills and enjoy celebrating each others accomplishments.
My Project
These materials will help me in small groups with students who need additional examples. Having new and exciting materials helps engage my students who struggle academically.
I plan to use these materials when students who have mastered these concepts need reinforcement to keep the skills fresh!
Students will get to work independently or in groups to reinforce the skills taught in these centers!
The writing center is my favorite! I often hear students say " I don't have anything to write about." These prompts will help give students the courage to start without being told exactly what to write about. Each student has their own opinion and experiences. I can't wait to read all of their responses and stories this year!
