My students need new puzzles. My children love to figure things out through play. Currently our puzzles are in bad shape. The children would love new and multicultural puzzles with bright and vibrant colors.
I teach in a Head Start classroom in Warminster, PA. This year, we have an energetic mix of students. We have nine girls and eight boys. A majority of our students are English Language Learners, with limited language support at home. We are very busy in our classroom. One of our many sayings is, "If we aren't messy, we aren't learning". We are very fortunate to have many different centers and toys. But as with anything, there are some things we need to extend our learning.
My Project
Not a day goes by in our classroom where we don't use puzzles. The children love the challenge of trying to put the puzzle together. They feel so proud of themselves when they complete the puzzle.
These puzzles will allow my students to explore their environment through play.
In our classroom we have children from many different cultures. That is why I chose multicultural puzzles to incorporate my student's diverse cultures into the classroom. I also chose puzzles for different skill levels. As the children grow they can use the harder puzzles to challenge themselves. These puzzles will help my children to learn and grow and problem solve on their own.
