My Students

I teach all the students in my elementary school. They are enthusiastic, excited and love to work together to solve problems. It is a close knit community that has pride in their students and they love a new challenge. Covid has put a spin of isolation on the kids and oftentimes my class (PE) is the only place they get to feel a little bit “normal”.

My Project

PE is all about social and emotional learning as well as developing physical skills. I teach my students to respect each other, equipment and me. They are learning to win and lose games with grace and how to be a good sport in any situation. Learning to have fun, try new things and express emotions in responsible ways make a fun learning environment. These yoga mats can be used in many different games and activities to help the students work together and also learn new ways to move and control their bodies.
