College hopefuls need batteries! I teach Algebra II and Survey of Mathematical Topics to 10th to 12th graders. I also tutor students that have not passed their Algebra I state subject area test. Some of my tutoring students have only the Algebra I state test standing in their way from graduation. We are seeing an alarming increase in the number of students from poverty dropping out of high school due to the state subject tests.

All of our students are required to pass an Algebra I subject area test as part of the graduation requirement. Several of the concepts on the Algebra I test require a graphing calculator to get an accurate answer. I inherited 15 old TI-82 calculators from another teacher. Unfortunately, I do not have any money left in my supply budget to buy batteries.

We need sets of "AAA" batteries for our graphing calculators. If this project is funded, we should have enough batteries to serve my students for the next two years.

Please help my students pass the state Algebra I subject area test so they can graduate. With your donation, you can give them a chance at higher education and a better life.
