This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
All of my wonderful students live in a great city in Michigan. Our class is made up of various ethnic and family structures and all come from low economic backgrounds. My students will take on challenges and explore the wonderful world of books through arts and crafts, playing with manipulative items, and moving their bodies. There is something for everyone at this school.
The teachers here ensure that students are equipped with what they need to be successful in life!
A balance of high and low activities engage my early learners. Learning is always fun here!
My Project
We want to learn a team sport! Batter up! Baseball is a team sport and we want to learn the basics of one of the greatest games around! With my students, I want to encourage a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness. Learning this game will also help us gain academic skills like math and physics.
In addition to enhancing gross motor skills, playing baseball will help build our core muscles and upper body strength!
The Big League Bundle, Rawlings baseball gloves, 24" bats and balls will allow us all to learn and play. The small squeeze balls and cut outs will help us off the field game more knowledge of the game. The Crackerjacks is a must when we celebrate as a team!
