My students need a table saw to cut the pieces for the bat houses. They need the other tools for measuring and drilling. They also need the router to cut grooves for the bat feet.
Our students continue to amaze us even though we live in a low-income area. We are a tiny rural school without many resources. Our Tranisiton Students work so hard everyday to learn the basic life and job skills.
Our students are striving for greatness and with the help of administration and teachers, they are well on their way!
With help from donors, we will reach our goals!
We are one big family at this school and we work together to make our futures great!
My Project
Making bat houses for mosquito control is our goal. Partnering with area towns to increase the bat population and decrease the mosquito population is our project. These tools, including the table saw, router, and drill will help the students when building the bat houses.
They will learn civic responsibility, job skills, and workmanship.
Building community relations and supporting the environment are life skills that need to be learned. This project promotes both of these life skills.
The tools are the basic needs for our project. Our class plans to help the local towns with mosquito control. Without the tools, this project will be impossible.
Our transitions class is looking forward to learning new ways of working together to make the world around us a better place.
