My students need 4 basketballs, a ball rack to keep equipment neatly organized for games and practice and a basketball toss back machine to improve their shooting and passing.
My boy's basketball players are determined and hard working. They put more into learning the game and developing as basketball players more than most. They are all seventh and eighth graders. They are enthusiastic and energetic. We are in a rural area with no outdoor parks or places to play basketball except at in the school setting. They want to become better basketball players but do not always have the funds to pay for what they need. School budgets are spread then with physical education and athletics the last to receive funding.
My Project
Over the course of the year, the basketball program has grown. The boys not only work hard during the season but will put in a lot of time in the off-season. Our athletic budget is very small so it is difficult to receive new equipment. It is important that we have enough basketballs for every player in the program. This allows practices to become more efficient and the boys are able to get more individualized workouts.
My players need 4 basketballs, an equipment rack for the basketballs and a Toss Back basketball passer to use during practice and skill development drills.
This way no one is standing around and there is no downtime. The Toss Back will provide passing for drills as well as help with shooting development. The rack will give us the ability to keep all of our equipment in one place that will also be portable.
Donations to this project will support boys who are great student-athletes and will allow them more opportunities to better their skills as players. More equipment leads to more reps during practice and skill development.
