Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students from our school are kind to each other and like to help their community as well. We are a public, K-8 school with over 1,200 students located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We are a Title I school. My students are bright and motivated, and they try their best even when the going gets tough.
Our students are always willing to help others without even being asked.
They are extremely good citizens and we are very proud of that fact!
My Project
In life, it is important to be kind to each other! Playing basketball is a great way our students will learn the skills to be kind and tolerant to each other. When students play in teams against each other they need to be tolerant of the players who are not as skilled as them.
I am asking for a basketball pole pad to keep our athletes safe while they play basketball after school in organized clubs!
Our students like to stay physically fit and have fun! Basketball is the perfect sport for this! However, we need a basketball pole pad to keep our students safe! The one we currently have is now broken and beyond repair. We are also asking for some new basketballs and a sturdy bag to store them in. Our athletes would really appreciate this!
