My students need book bins, a timer and organizational tools.

By the end of the year, I want all my students to be on grade level with their Reading skills. One way to do this is to encourage a love of reading. I'm fortunate enough to have collected a nice classroom library over the years by hitting garage sales, and collecting donations.
My students are some of the sweetest, most caring people I've met.
They come from tough backgrounds and each student has experienced difficult circumstances. Some of my students often don't know where their next meal will come from. Most students are only fed when they are at school. They don't have beds to sleep in, or clean clothes to wear. But, despite all of that, they come to school and try their hardest. I want our classroom to be a clean, well organized and comforting environment. They all deserve to have some normalcy in their lives.
The materials I'm requesting will help to keep our classroom clean and well organized. I have been able to collect a nice classroom library throughout my years of teaching. However, my school district cannot afford to provide us with bookshelves. I've been keeping our classroom library in bins on the floor for several years. This system works, but the bins have become worn out. Most of the bins are broken and no longer hold the books. If we could just have some new bins, it would truly help with the organization of our room. My students already come from broken homes. I don't want them to have a broken classroom as well.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom by helping us to become more organized and providing a clean safe environment for learning.
My students will feel that they are important and people value them.
