As a first year teacher, I have learned a lot about what I can do to improve myself to only improve my students in the future! I have learned different techniques and strategies to keep an engaging and rigorous class.
Engaged students learn the best, and it is my goal to have 100% engagement in every lesson, biology, STEM, chemistry, EVERYTHING!
To best help my kids with their education, they need the basic supplies for education, including pencils, notebooks, and colors (to draw our awesome science experiments in our notebooks). Science teachers also need basics like paper towels, for those same fun science experiments!
My students come from different backgrounds and living situations. Not everyone is the same, but a lot do know what it is like to live in a struggling household. While each relationship with my students is a priority, relationships only take us so far when we do not have the materials needed to be successful in class.
I have seen how relieving burdens from students and families lead to better classroom performances, and I hope that I can provide that for my students.
