Help me give my students balances, bright-colored organizers and bold writing markers to use on my black lab desks in flashy color to help engage students!
My students are bright, eager to learn and very energetic. They are full of questions and willing to work to find them. Many are college-bound (often first in their families) and they are proud of their work.
Socioeconomic differences are stark but with projects like those from DonorsChoose, I can make things more equal for these students.
Our community helps support our students and my goal is to help students support the community in return!
These students are inexperienced in scientific techniques and often feel at a disadvantage because of this. My classroom is student success oriented. We try to find out “WHY?”
My Project
Balances are needed in all science classes and will be used daily but art supplies in the chemistry classroom make the learning catch fire. These materials will enhance my students' learning by engaging them in problem-solving, readying motivational quotes and creating brightly colored models.
Art and the sciences go hand in hand (STEAM) and take my instruction to the next level.
The students benefit from the entire process and the outcomes are positive!
Card stock, construction paper, and posters enhance all of our work and bring the content alive with color. Balances will make certain that we're doing it "right!"
