My students need pencils, erasers, and paper in order to complete the majority of our daily tasks. We also need tissue (allergies have been brutal) and highlighters to mark up our article of the week.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have the best students any teacher could ask for. They are caring, giving, passionate, intelligent, funny, and full of energy. Working with this group of students each day is a reward. I know that they will accomplish so many things this school year and beyond this year.
With the help of some much needed school supplies, students will be able to learn and grow.
Our class has future lawyers, an OBGYN, a graphic designer, a writer, NBA players, teachers, nurses, chemists, and veterinarians. We believe everything is possible, we believe in commitment and hard-work, and we believe that we can reach all of our goals.
My Project
Every day, without fail, our class borrows and begs for pencils, erasers, or a spare piece of lined paper. We do a lot of writing here in English class.
Sometimes we don't have a spare pencil to share.
But with your donation, we won't have to worry about such a minor thing like a pencil. We can focus on how to address our audience, identifying a theme, and analyzing the development of the plot of our latest book.
It would be wonderful to have a ready supply available for the students to use.
I'm sure students would appreciate a new pencil instead of the broken ones I scrounge up from the halls!
