My Students

I work with the lowest 20% of first graders at my school in KY. They need to learn to read and write now!!!! We are building the foundation for them.

Our school is a 100% title one school.

That means our school pays for all supplies and field trips for our students. Most students are on free or reduced lunch. So, it puts a strain on the school financially. These students are sweet, precious, wonderful 6 year olds.They deserve all the chances in the world. Many are eager to learn to read and write. Our kids are the best!!!!!!

My Project

With the supplies that you provide for our class our students will be able to practice writing basic sight words on white boards. They will be able to protect their writing in the folders. When we write with pencil we will finally have a sharpened pencil. My students will be able to have the supplies that they need to become a super reader and writer.

You can make a difference by supporting my class with some of the basic supplies that they need to become great readers and writers.
