Our Elementary/Middle school is a Title I school. Our students have very little access to technology because we live in a rural area. I was shocked by how many students don't have computers or some form of technology at home. A lot of students still don't have internet at their house.
Our students are so sweet and intelligent they deserve all the wonderful things that city life has to offer while still living in a rural area.
We will be creating projects that incorporate the use of an iPad to make portfolios in art. We will explore how science and math relate to art. In short art is in everything we do. All subjects in school take part in each other.
My Project
Our students have two tables in the art room that sit 6 students at each table. I would love to have two more tables to match those so a whole class can sit at the tables and do group activities.
Basic supplies such as furniture, a Rug, and clay will make the Art room a classroom where learning is easy and fun.
We will use the tables everyday to work at. The Rug will be used everyday for the younger students to start the class off right. For a special project I would like to have each grade make a project out of polymer clay and kiln clay to show the differences in the texture process and so much more.
These few items would give are Art classroom the update it needs.
