The students at my middle school are boisterous, bright, and brimming with promise. They come from various cultures, speak different languages, and many of their families are struggling economically. They attend a culturally diverse school that is 70% free or reduced price lunch in the state of Washington.
The students in my classes are full of energy, wonder, and enthusiasm.
Aside from the cultural and economic differences in our student population, you'll find that our amazing students are eager to learn and trying to build successful lives that will be happy and productive.
My low income students come to class and don't have the basic supplies to complete they're daily work. They frantically search the classroom for pencils, markers, and erasers in order to get started.
After diligent note taking, their notebooks get used up and they are unable to replace them.
I am asking for help to stock up supplies for the rest of the school year and to use next year for students who are unable to get the supplies on their own. Our classroom sharpener has been broken for months and will not be replaced unless funded by you! Thanks!
