Despite the many challenges our students face, they work very hard during the school day and focus on their academics. At our school, more than half of our students receive free or reduced lunches.
We have a motto here at our school: "What's Best for Kids, Whatever it Takes!" That is why I am asking for your help.
All of my students need basic materials that they can use throughout the year that doesn't put an economic hardship on their parents.
My Project
Many families cannot provide basic classroom materials for their general education classroom, so they wouldn't be able to help supply my classroom with the needed supplies. Even though my school district is the largest in the state, they still need to follow a budget for supplies. Special education teachers are not allowed as much as a classroom teacher, so I typically spend my own money to provide the needed supplies for my classroom.
My students deserve the same quality of supplies as the general education classrooms.
We need folders to hold their awesome work in and notebooks to show evidence their progress. They do a lot of writing in my classroom, whether during reading/language arts or math. My students and I would appreciate these supplies very much! Thank you so much!
