My students need basic supplies of Kleenex, bandaids, and Clorox wipes. We also need a pencil sharpener to help us be able to keep working.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"I pledge to do my best today. I will work hard. I will be kind. Who I am has value. What I think has value. Who I will become is invaluable to the world. Learn more! Achieve more! Be more! On our journey to college and beyond!" Every morning we recite this pledge as a way to start our day.
My students are dedicated to trying their best each day even though they come from less than ideal circumstances.
I teach in a Title 1 school in a dual immersion program. I have 60 students. Over 90% on them qualify for free or reduced lunch. 75% of them are English Language Learners. Their parents work 2 or more jobs trying to make ends meet.
My Project
Many of us do not think about using kleenex or getting a bandaid, however, with 60 students, I find myself frequently running out of these items. When you need to blow your nose, or you have a sore on your finger, it makes it hard to focus on learning.
With the availability of these items, students will be able to worry less about discomfort and focus more on learning.
The Clorox wipes will help us keep our room clean so students are not getting sick and missing school.
The pencil sharpener will help us to be prepared for working hard.
