Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a Title I school with amazing students. They are bright kids with a thirst for knowledge. Nearly 95% of the school receives free or reduced-price lunch and despite the hardships, the students are still so eager to learn.
The main priority for our classroom is building relationships, working in groups, following directions, and accessing general education content in different ways.
We celebrate little wins together each day. The students work hard at owning their own learning and strive to be the best no matter the situation. They don't deserve to have to worry about not having the necessary supplies and organization.
My Project
Basic supplies are the foundation of the classroom. Without pencils, composition notebooks and erasers, we wouldn't be able to function. The composition notebooks are needed for their notes and reading/writing content. Pencils! Where do they go!? We continuously need pencils, because they just disappear into thin air.
My students are so eager to learn, but need the basic supplies to be able to do so.
They are sponges and want to do and be great! Help us get our supplies that we need so we can continue to learn and have a great year. You donations will be greatly appreciated!
