Our day starts by students completing morning work that is on their desks when they arrive. They come into the classroom full of energy and ready for the day.
My students mostly come from three large neighborhoods.
The neighborhoods are very diverse.
We are a large community elementary school with over nine hundred students. My students are all intelligent, inquisitive, and full of energy. They really enjoy coming to school and learning about new things. I feel that we have amazing parent support and that I couldn't work at a better school.
My Project
My students will be able to practice their cursive writing by using the whiteboards, Expo Markers, and the erasers. This will be a great way for students to practice writing in a non traditional way. They will also use the whiteboard to practice math problems from the SMARTboard. The sticky notes will be very helpful with different reading strategies such as stop and jot, exit tickets, and spelling. I will use the staplers to hang up my students' work in the hallway or on our class bulletin board. The pencil sharpener will be used to sharpen the pencils that students use on a daily basis to complete their work. All of these materials will play a vital role in helping my students be successful scholars.
Having all these necessary materials will make a world of difference for my students who don't have the means to replace supplies towards the end of the school year.
