This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Being organized means that students can spend less time looking for paper and pencils and more time learning. By keeping all of their work in a single multiple subject notebook, the students can keep their work together and easily accessible. Pencil boxes will keep those desks neat!
My students are an energetic, creative group of second grade students.
They love to learn, but face many challenges in their lives outside of school, such as poverty, high crime neighborhoods and instability in their homes. Despite these challenges, my students work very hard, and try their best. By teaching them organizational skills, I am helping to prepare them for better lives!
My Project
I am requesting materials that will help my students to stay organized in the classroom. These basic supplies (multiple subject notebooks and pencil boxes) will allow the students to keep all of their assignments in one place, and their supplies neatly stored. The notebooks will have a section for each subject (reading, writing, math, science and social studies). The pencil boxes will give the students a place to store their pencils, erasers, crayons, scissors and glue sticks.
This project would make a difference by giving the students the basic supplies they need to be organized in the classroom.
It would allow the students to be able to learn essential life skills to be successful students in higher grades, college and in the workplace.
