Mrs. Mackert from Las Vegas NV is requesting Classroom Basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need basic classroom supplies (easel pads, paper, cardstock, crayons) to engage them in creative and hands-on learning.
I am honored to teach a wonderful population of students. A majority of the students are English Language Learners (ELL), and my school serves as a host school for refugees coming from various places.
I look forward to every day with my students, embracing the wonderful differences and experiences they each bring.
I want my students to know they are valued, loved, and safe when they come into the classroom. I strive to model and teach growth mindset so each kiddo knows that their potential is limitless.
Every year, I make sure my kiddos use anything and everything we have in the classroom. We do many projects and hands-on activities to make learning interactive and engaging. Our basic school supplies need to be replenished for the remainder of this year, and to start off next year on the right foot!
The supplies in this project are essential to our learning environment.
We need bright colored paper, anchor chart paper, markers, and crayons to stimulate our minds and make our learning stand out. We need cleaning supplies and erasers for those "whoopsie" moments. Glue, pencils, paper, and laminating sheets help us with our day to day learning. This will be my first year teaching math, so I will make a math game out of the Jenga pieces.
All of these supplies will help my kiddos be successful. They will be able to learn using classroom supplies that they may not have access to at home. They will be able to utilize every minute of the school day, with enough supplies to help their learning come to life.
