Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a product of the Chicago Public School district, I know the issues my students face daily. Yet, despite their circumstances, my students want to succeed in life, overcome all obstacles, and make their families proud! My students are strong, vibrant, and full of life, always ready to do the task at hand, but often they wish there was more to class than just pen and paper. My students are respectful and well-mannered. Unfortunately, often times they have one too many odds stacked against them. It is my goal that a lack of resources is not another issue they face!
My Project
This project requests basic classroom supplies that students need to have access to learn and create projects such as paper, glue sticks, and highlighters. The hole punch will help students to keep an organized binder. Items such as Kleenex, wipes, and hand sanitizer help to ensure that students stay healthy and germ-free. Fruit snacks and granola bars will help keep students focused on their school work.
These are just a few of the materials that are often overlooked but used throughout the year.
The impact these basic resources make to an efficient classroom is extensive. Teachers often purchase these materials to help students be successful. Your donation to this project will give my classroom the boost it needs to make sure that the needs of my students are met.
