Basic Supplies and Snacks Part 3!

My Students

Our school is a Title l school and many of our students are from poverty-stricken homes that have limited resources. Our students work hard in everything that they do and always give 100% effort. Given an opportunity and a little bit of help can make an everlasting impact on their lives.

Having a classroom filled with such diversity is an awesome learning experience, each student is able to bring a different perspective on a multitude of topics.

My students are eager and yet, excited to come back safely and learn new things this school year. My caseload consists of students with specific learning disabilities, developmentally delayed speech impairments, and intellectual disabilities. Each of my students has different needs and this requires a lot of planning. My students need materials to assist with virtual learning.

Even though my students attend a very high-poverty school, they come to school with smiles on their faces. Although each of my students is different, they all have one thing in common, and that is they come to school every day ready to learn.

My Project

My students need a sanitation station to be able to access the supplies they need to stay safe and healthy. When they enter my classroom they will be able to get a new mask if needed, hand sanitizer, kleenex, or whatever they need without having to ask for it. The rolling cart will be used as the designated sanitation station. The mask dispenser will be located on the cart. The supplies will be used to create work throughout the remainder of the school year. The clock will be used to teach my students how to tell time using an analog clock.

Keeping my students healthy and safe while learning through COVID-19.

The snacks will be used to keep my students energized and motivated while working. Providing snacks makes the difference between students learning and being successful or not being successful. It is a simple request that will make a huge impact on my students. They will be able to focus and keep their stamina up for the entire day.
