Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are motivated and eager learners that come from divers backgrounds. Most of our students come from low-income homes and kindergarten is their first exposure to school. No matter the day, all 24 of my students come to school everyday ready to experience the world through a new and creative lens.
In our classroom we focus on getting every student to a level where they read, write and become active learners in order to give them a solid foundation for the following grade levels and beyond.
Some of our students can't make any alphabet sounds, while others are already reading. I help them to help each other to grow.
With such an amazing group of children, I am motivated to give them every advantage I can to help them continue to be as excited about their education as they are now.
My Project
Starting off the school year with basic supplies such as crayons, folders and chubby pencils for little hands will get us off on the right path for success. Learning how to hold writing utensils and organization will become the key to success in current and future grade levels.
The math games will be placed in our math center in class and aid in students of all learning styles in understanding and comprehending numbers in a fun, exciting and non threatening manner.
The organization bins and trolly cart will help students stay organized and neat, a key skill for success in school and in life! They're all very excited to start utilizing and benefiting from all their new learning tools.
