This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are achievers and deserve nothing but the best. Despite the challenges that many of my students face outside the classroom, they continuously strive for success inside the classroom. That itself is enough encouragement for me to serve as an advocate so that my media center has all supplies that are needed to ensure that my students have a clean, positive learning environment filled with many academic resources and learning opportunities.
My Project
The past two years have been very difficult for educators and students. Fear of catching Covid-19 has made many individuals in the learning community uncomfortable about being in a traditional classroom setting. To ensure that I'm providing a learning atmosphere that is inviting and safe, there are several resources that I'm requesting that are needed to do so.
Items include sanitizing wipes, disinfecting spray, sneeze guard, graphic novels, desk printer, wireless bar code scanner, incentive pencils, wall decor and moving cart.
Each of these items will be use to maintain cleanliness and an inviting atmosphere that provide comfort to students who are nervous about being in a traditional setting classroom.
