Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have one of the most wonderful group of students! They are sweet, kind, responsible, hardworking, and curious learners.
Our school is a low-income school in a low-income neighborhood where resources are scarce.
The school does the best they can to provide all necessary tools, but it never quite seems to be enough.
My students are a diverse group of students who come together to create a wonderful learning community. Over half of the students in my class are English language learners and all students bring a unique perspective to the classroom. They deserve nothing but the very best!
My Project
We are a little over half-way through the school year and our supplies are sure looking sad. Our book boxes are breaking, the glue is all dried up, our pencils are VERY short and we can't find a good blue crayon! We've used our school supplies well this year, but now we're at the point that we need more.
My class needs basic school supplies like pencils, crayons and glue to continue working as hard as we possibly can.
We need pencils and erasers to continue our great writing and math work, book boxes to keep their books organized, as well as crayons, glue, markers to use in all subjects for various projects!
Many families cannot afford to buy new school supplies at this point in the year, and this is where I am turning to you for help! Please consider donating to this project so my students can have new, working school supplies!
