I am a third-year fourth-grade teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada. I work at a Title I school where the majority of students are eligible for free and reduced lunches and breakfast. The majority of our students come from a lower-middle-class neighborhood here in Las Vegas.
Our school is extremely diverse and is a host school for many refugee students.
Our students come from so many different cultural backgrounds. I hope to create an engaging classroom where every learner comes to school excited.
I always strive to provide my students with what they need; whether its emotional, social or even just the basic supplies that a classroom uses.
We need basic school supplies so my students can feel successful and not worry about having to provide.
I do not want my student's families, or myself, to feel stressed out about having to provide for our classroom since we are in a lower-income area.
Our class needs paper, card stock, pencils, erasers, labels and more so that we can build community supplies for all to use. I have a very large class and we are going through supplies like crazy! This project will help get us through the school year.
