Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every day my students walk into our classroom full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school in Los Angeles, California where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can, so they can be successful one day.

My Project

My students and I need a vacuum cleaner in order to keep our classroom clean. Having our own vacuum will give me the luxury of vacuuming our classrooms on a daily basis if I have to. My students deserve to learn in a clean and safe environment. Flu season is around the corner and my students need extra kleenex to wipe their little noses. The Clorox disinfecting wipes will also help me wipe down tables and any other materials my students use. We also need treasure chest prizes for girls and boys to use as positive reinforcement for behavior and attendance.
