This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Scrounging around for pencil and chalk nubs is a waste of learning time.

My students are in the third grade.

They are hard-working kids who listen and follow directions. My students have various special needs ranging from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder to developmental delays, but they don't let it stop them. Every one of my students is a force to be reckoned with.

My Project

My students need basic tools to learn. They need pencils to write their essays and take their tests. They need chalk to collaborate with each other, and they need dry erase boards and markers to practice their math facts. We do a lot of writing in our class and go through pencils like crazy.

Having the tools they need is the first step in succeeding in the classroom.

My students show up ready to learn. They just need a little boost to get them where they need to be and show them how far they can go.
