Help me give my students basic supplies including notebooks, pencils, and white board markers so they can sufficiently accomplish their activities and assignments.
I have the opportunity to work with some of the best 6th graders. My students are never afraid to jump into something new and help each other understand. Their constant kindness, cooperation, and collaboration are inspiring. I often feel like they are the teachers and I'm the student.
My students work hard as they strive for excellence individually and as a united community.
They share their experiences and understanding for the betterment of the classroom. They have great humor and never miss a chance to use it!
My Project
My students are great kids, but they need supplies in order to show their learning and understanding. They are creative writers and need notebook journals and pencils to write their thoughts, ideas, and opinions as well as room to solve their math problems which are getting more and more complicated. These journals will be used everyday during our literacy time as well as math time.
These supplies are basic necessities for any classroom.
We have access to individual whiteboards and some computers for student use. However, we don't have the whiteboard markers or headphones needed to actually use these resources. Students love being able to interact and engage in learning in new ways. Instead of doing tests, they can show their knowledge digitally, artistically, or physically using these new supplies. Powerpoints, videos, and music will all be important features in our science projects over the next few months. Their individual and group projects will be competed digitally and will need to have access to computers.
