My students need basic items (Bounty Quick-Size Paper Towels, Kleenex Ultra Soft Facial Tissues, and Ziploc Storage Bags to keep them healthy this school year to keep their classroom clean.
With our school population of almost 800, 100% of the students are living in apartments. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 85% of our students receiving free lunch. Students have the option to receive free breakfast daily through a program at the school that is open to all students.
Our school has a diverse population of students from various countries who speak a variety of different languages.
Many students will come to our school for the first time and never have learned to speak English. I have assisted our school in providing a variety of resources such as weekend food bags for students, free eye care and exams, dental screenings, a free food pantry and a clothing closet.
My Project
As we approach the new school year, it is essential for me to help keep my students as healthy as possible. In a effort to ensure my students do not miss school due to illness, I strive to keep my classroom as clean as possible and my students well equipped with the necessities to fight the spread of germs. Unfortunately, when students are absent for any amount of time, they can miss quite a lot and quickly fall behind in their academia. In an effort to prevent this, we go through many boxes of tissues, paper towels, ziplock bags, disinfecting wipes and bottles of soap which is why we are requesting these items with this project. Please help us stay healthy and in school.
