Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the opportunity to support and inspire sixty students who come to school every day with the hope of learning not just about academics but also about themselves. All of my students have a native language that is not English, and they work very hard every day to learn a second language.
My English Language Learners' overall learning styles vary greatly.
Some of my students read and write fluently in their native language and/or English while others come in with very limited literacy skills and require creative approaches for their transition to the English language.
My Project
As the school year progresses, we are quickly using the essential tools needed to create our projects, compute our math inquiries and write our magical stories. We need a refresh on pencils, copy paper, chart paper and card stock paper.
These are all essential tools to help keep our learning in motion and the computing in the right direction!
We need chart paper to help continue our learning. We create anchor charts to hang in the room, to help remind students of what we just learned. They are great references for refreshing our learning as the year moves forward. We need pencils to keep our mathematical minds sharp. We need card stock to display our amazing projects and copier paper to keep our learning in check.
