This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Hello! I am a second grade teacher. For a lot of my students, my classroom is the only place where they experience structure. My twenty-five students are wonderful children who come to school every day to learn. My school is 98% African-American, with most students receiving free lunch through the school district's free lunch program. My school is located in a large inner-city, with most of my students coming from households in or near poverty.
I have a wonderful group of students who are full of energy.
They express their energy with their eagerness to learn. They all strive to be the best they can each and every day. They are the best thing between heaven and earth!
My Project
My awesome classroom needs supplies to continue to provide and receive amazing instruction. The dry erase markers are used to create anchor charts that show certain comprehension skills in math and language arts. Students will also be able to use their dry erase board and markers to complete short "do now," activities. Students will become better writers, learners, and scholars.
Magnets, are used to add words for out "juicy word walls!" The more words on my wall, the more students can use them to elaborate on their writing.
Supplies are needed for my students success. We all appreciate it! Thank you, and have a great holiday!
