Help me give my students IRIS 12" x 12" Portable Project Cases, a new pencil sharpener, colored paper, colored and white card stock, and a fun prize wheel to help replenish supplies and to motivate positive behavior!
I teach forty 4th and 5th grade students with a variety of learning styles. My students are energetic and eager to learn. This next year will be my second year teaching this grade level, and I am excited to help them learn and grow.
Our school is a very small school, but it is the backbone of our community.
Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds. Each student brings diversity to our classroom environment, and a number of them lack opportunities to have firsthand experiences in many different aspects of life.
My Project
The materials that I have requested will make a difference in my students' learning. Some are basic necessities, like paper and paper holders, and a pencil sharpener. The prize wheel is not only intended for fun, but will hopefully motivate some of my students to have more desirable behaviors.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to provide basic necessities and promote positive behaviors, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
The colored paper and card stock will be used to make learning games for my students, and the Portable Project Cases will be used to store the games, as well as other paper projects. Learning is more fun when the kids don't actually think they are learning!
4th and 5th grade students write quite a bit during the course of a school day. Therefore, they need to have a freshly sharpened pencil at least once during a day. This year, I've had 3 pencil sharpeners stop working. Learning can't stop because we don't have a working pencil sharpener!
We will use all of these materials to aid us in the process of becoming life-long learners. I truly need your support to make this a reality.
