Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In my school we are considered a family and that applies to all students. Everyone takes responsibility in overseeing that every student feels loved and cared. We are there to help them grow and succeed. Students in my school are mostly ELL students where most of their parents are low income. We have some of the most caring and supportive parents, who put their trusts in us, the educators.
Our students need as many supplies and resources necessary to help them succeed.
I teach Dual students who are learning academic English and Spanish at they same time. They are talented and take pride in being Dual students. They love their teachers and are respectful towards their teachers and peers. I am proud to be an educator to these fantastic students!!
My Project
These essential materials will allow my students to be more prepared and work efficiently during our time of Distance Learning. While they have some of the these materials some students have a difficult time finding a pencil to write with.
By giving the students highlighters, pencils, and sticky notes this will allow them to be on task on concentrate on learning.
These are essential items, but most families in our community focus their needs on food and shelter. By providing the essential for our students this will allow families to feel more secure during these difficult times. Please consider donating to my students!
