Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 3-5 years old with developmental delays, language impairments, and other documented disabilities such as sensory processing disorder and autism. I serve an average of 12 students throughout the school year. At the present moment, I have several students that are home-learning and I expect that number to grow.
The students are all highly active classroom explorers.
They work so hard to learn routines, procedures, and actively participate in learning. They love praise, a smile, and a thumbs up for a job well done!
We are a Title I school which serves economically disadvantaged students from many backgrounds in a warm and welcoming environment. I love the way ALL children are accepted as they are.
My Project
These basic items and simple learning materials will make a big difference in our growth and development. An organized classroom means our materials are readily available when needed. The laminating film will be used for all teacher-created materials.
The Mix and Make Shapes materials will help us to learn about shapes through engaging hands-on activities.
The vocabulary materials and lessons are just what we need to gain language skills.
