This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I want to provide my students with engaging learning experiences.
Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and receive free lunch based on their socioeconomic status.
From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can certainly control their experiences during the school day.
My students are loving, empathetic, caring, and extremely hardworking. They deserve the absolute best, and I hope you will consider partnering with me to ensure they have what they need to succeed in education and beyond.
My Project
My students need basic classroom organization for manipulatives, supplies, and papers. The wall file organizer and binders will help make our classroom a clean and organized place for optimal learning.
I am also asking for a hole puncher and laminating sheets.
These laminating pouches allow me to prepare high quality and reusable materials for my students. My students also need some more train pieces for our indoor recess materials. With the containers, I will make math tool kits for my students to use for everyday math learning.
Please consider partnering with me to ensure my students have everything they need in our classroom to promote learning.
