Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 7th and 8th-grade students in a Title I school that primarily services Multiple Language Learners (MLLs). Specifically, I teach these students necessary Social and Emotional Learning skills through a class called Techniques for Tough Times. My goal is to provide my students with a safe and positive learning environment in which they can tackle the often difficult social situations that they are presented with regularly.

My Project

I am asking for help with getting some much needed essential classroom supplies. We need art supplies for creating self-reflective pieces in my Techniques for Tough Times Classroom. We are also looking for support with our Social Emotional Club that we are trying to start up. The iPad cases and ring light will be used to create positive social emotional learning content that we can share via social media with the rest of our school community. Our school is also in great need of pencil pouches and binders to support students with basic self-management strategies. All of these supplies contribute to fun and engaging classroom projects that will hopefully lead to student empowerment through success.
