I have an incredible, diverse, and kind group of students. We are a Title l school, creating a fun climate of respect and personal learning. My students are always eager to learn and are proud of their accomplishments. The students at our school are kind, respectful, and work hard. Many volunteer to stay after school with me to get the extra help they need on their classwork. The students are teaching me as much as I am teaching them throughout the day. This is my third year teaching 5th grade and I am excited to start a new year!
General classroom supplies will help provide my student's necessary hard copy of digital curriculum that must be printed and, stratagies and opportunities to become organized.
My Project
Expectations are much higher in 5th grade. One of the biggest challenges is teaching good study habits, personal accountability to instruction, and organizational skills. Students are learning to keep a homework calendar, be responsible with information going from school to home, and also learning to keep their workspace organized.
I am preparing my students for middle school and beyond.
I will use the folders to keep subjects and reports organized, the red pens are for self-checking, the colored paper is for newsletters to families, and the copy paper is to ensure I am able to support their learning with additional curriculum from digital resources. Having the supplies we need in our classroom is a key component to my kids success!
