In New Orleans I am an eighth grade math teacher. I need math materials like dry erase boards, dry erase markers, chart graph paper, for my class. In New Orleans I teach eight graders who come from a diverse backgrounds and a majority of my students are on the free lunch program, though my classroom begins a new year it really lacks basic supplies for teaching math. My parents are on board to anything but worksheets.
I need my students to achieve mastery and I intend to bring up my students' math scaled scores up for LEAP this spring.
I am teaching math to eight grade in a public school. A majority of our students are on the Free Lunch program. I am always trying to search for basic supplies for my students to complete the year successfully.
It is a hard time when you run out of basic classroom supplies and you have no where to turn.
We need some basic classroom supplies to successfully complete the year with my students. They are eager and willing to learn. I wish to engage them by involving them in hands on activities. These materials like pencils, glue sticks, pocket charts, chart paper, dry erase boards and dry erase markers will be used daily. This is the reason I am requesting essential classroom supplies for my class. I will be able to model and teach using the graphic charts. My students will use the sturdy dry erase boards for daily math practice to clearly demonstrate their understanding of math concepts to their peers while I monitor their progress.
Your donations to my class will make a big difference and my students lives will be changed if they start to love math.
