"The day you're willing to veer off the lesson plan, follow a kid's lead, and learn with your students is the day you really become a teacher." -unknown
My students are very lovable, outgoing and hardworking second graders.
They are passionate and excited about learning, just as I am about being their teacher.
I teach in a Title I school where about 90% percent of my students are English Language Learners and come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.
I would like to obtain, with your help, dry eraser pouches and whiteboard pens for my students. This is a basic supply they need to be active and engaged learners. My second graders live in a high poverty area. Their parents don't have enough money to get their children supplies they need to replenish.
It takes a village to teach a child and by donating to my school basics project you're providing much-needed supplies to help them be successful in school.
We need basic classroom supplies to assist with our day to day learning goals. My students need whiteboards and whiteboard pens for daily classroom assignments. They will be used in our reading block where we learn how to write words and sentences. During our math block, we will use them to practice writing number, make numbers and solve addition and subtraction problems.
These basic supplies will help our classroom community to work independently with materials needed for daily learning.
