Many of my students come from disadvantaged and low-income backgrounds. This being said, many students are unable to bring the basic supplies needed for day to day learning.
Basic classroom supplies are a necessity to achieve maximum engagement and these supplies will ensure no one feels embarrassed or gets 'left behind' for not having materials on a daily basis.
These supplies will help my 40 students in many ways! The headphones will help students complete lessons and also listen to books on their school issued laptops. The headphones are also critical for students who receive accommodations and need to have the material read aloud to them. The binders will help keep our unit materials organized. The rewards and bookmarks will be used as incentives to reward the students achieving their weekly AR reading goals.
