This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Welcome! I am proud to be the teacher of twelve amazing students in an elementary school located in an urban community. My students are Diverse Learners who are taught in a self-contained setting that provides them the supports needed to be successful. Within the classroom we work on all core content areas with a specific focus on building independence and communication.
Each day my students come in with a smile, ready to learn, regardless of the experiences and events that took place before they entered the classroom!
They are held to high expectations and challenged daily to become better. Their success is seen in each step that they take. Thank-you for getting to know our classroom and we hope you consider donating!
My Project
Within our classroom, students demonstrate their learning through a variety of mediums. Despite having unique abilities, my students evidence their learning through mediums such as writing, speaking, and drawing. Participating in crafts is yet another way in which my students show me what they have learned.
Arts and crafts serve as a way for students to express themselves.
Students are able to portray their thoughts, emotions, and opinions. They are able to individualize their response through a fun approach. By donating to my project, Basic Arts & Crafts for the Kiddos, you are assisting me in providing another approach for students to express themselves. Items such as paint, paint brushes, markers, glue, pipe cleaners, and construction paper will be used daily within our classroom.
