My Students
Baseball is a way to stay focused and on track for most of our student-athletes. Our funding from the school district is almost non-existent. Most of what we use and buy, we have to fundraise.
We are a high school located seven miles east of downtown Los Angeles where most of our students qualify for free or reduced price lunch.
The highlight of their day for most of them, is to come out to baseball practice after a school day.
My Project
Hitting is an essential part of being a good baseball player. In order for our team to be successful we need to hit every day. Baseballs get worn out very easily as we use them on a daily basis. The baseballs that get donated will be used everyday in our practices.
At this time most of the balls we use to hit are worn out and torn, a donation of a new batch of baseballs and wiffle balls will be a wonderful contribution for our baseball team.
New baseballs are a special treat for all hitters and our players will be delighted to be able to practice with new baseballs.
