it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Building my students' self-esteem by staying interested in physical activity is something that is important to me. I am a physical education teacher, as well as a coach, at a Pennsylvania urban K-8 public school. This school is located in a lower economic neighborhood with 95% low-income households and 100% of our students receiving free lunch. This is a Title I school. My students love physical activity and love to learn about team sports.
My Project
My baseball team is in need of baseball hats to complete our uniform. I have the baseball uniform for my team to wear but since a baseball hat cannot be shared year after year I need to purchase new ones. However, it is getting more difficult for me and my players to pay for these baseball hats which is a league mandatory part of our uniform.
My school and school district will not supply us with them either and it is up to the coaches to fulfill this mandatory part of our uniform.
These brand new hats will make my players feel and look better during our games which may even make them play better. The team may play better because they will have higher self-esteem of themselves in a new uniform.
When states are cutting budgets for basic educational needs there is no way I will be given funding for our baseball team. It's usually out of the question.
That is why I need your help to get these baseball hats. I take my job as a Physical Educator and baseball coach serious. It's all about the kids and I cannot do it alone. So please help.
