Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school's mission is to provide a world-class education that prepares students through a dual language project-based learning curriculum, to become healthy productive community members and leaders, with an expectation that every child, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic level, is college bound. We are a K - 8 public charter school located in Delaware. Our Charter School currently has over 700 students and is continuing to expand both in population and facilities size each and every school year!
My Project
Help young athletes meet their potential on the baseball and softball field! Our athletics program has grown year to year, this year having a focus on the implementation of a baseball and softball. Grade 6 - 8 students and families have requested a baseball and softball program, and this is step one to accomplishing this goal! Our plan is to acquire equipment and jerseys, as well as renting a boys' baseball field and a girls' softball field for this spring! Any help is greatly appreciated! The middle school students, both boys and girls are both looking forward to this expansion!
