I have a great group of 23 wiggly 4 year olds. My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. It is my job to bring all of these different backgrounds and experiences together to provide the best learning experience possible for the class.
Students are picked for my class because they need extra support in order to be ready for 5K next year.
In spite of the challenges they face, they constantly rise to the occasion and frequently blow me away with their ability to learn.
As children continue to spend more time indoors and increase their screen time it is more important than ever to provide time for them to be outside. While anytime being outside is beneficial to children's growth and learning, having the appropriate materials increases the benefits.
The requested wheelbarrow will provide our whole school, pre-K and pre-K special needs, with the opportunity to learn concepts of simple machines while having fun.
The children will be able to compare how different loads effect how the wheelbarrow works. Language skills will also be increased as they communicate and collaborate with each other on what they can haul in the wheelbarrow.
