My Students

My 7th and 8th grade fully self-contained students are everything

I could have asked for and more, as a second-year teacher.

My class is a small group of 5 students, who despite their various disabilities and challenges they face each day, come to school eager and ready to learn. The students inside my class receive specialized instruction in math, reading, writing, and life skills that will help them live independently and just need additional support to reach their academic goals.

One of my biggest goals for this class is for every student to feel safe, comfortable and also be provided the type of learning environment which is conducive for their unique learning needs.

My Project

This project will help make a difference for my students because they will be able to come to school prepared with the supplies needed in order to be successful in the class because many teachers aren't given a budget to buy supplies to run the classroom.

Often times teachers are either forced to go without and or forced to buy it out of their own pocket.

And, also, I have students who don't come to school with the basic school supplies like paper, pencils, and markers.

My students will also be able to do art projects which they really enjoy doing with the markers, crayons, scissors and colored pencils. They will also be able to use the baskets to help store these items neatly.
