Help me give my students essentials for our trip! This project will provide travelers with basic OTC medications, a power strip for their devices, luggage locks, and thank you notes for our Holocaust Travel Study.
I teach American History at one of the poorest districts in West Tennessee. Despite economic and personal hardships, many of my students are dedicated, hardworking young men and women who seek to learn from, contribute to, and change their world.
I have a dream that all students may have the opportunity to explore the world with historical perspective and develop as individuals.
Several of our students will be traveling to Europe for a Holocaust tour and most will need to purchase passports to qualify for this travel. It is my hope that with help from other like-minded individuals who see the value of these experiences, that my students will be able to see their dream realized!
My Project
This summer, several of my students will be embarking on a Holocaust Travel Study to Europe. Thanks to the generosity of Donors Choose supporters, my students have received travel scholarships and carry-on backpacks to help ensure the success of this adventure! As our travel study gets closer, we are looking at the logistics of preparation and packing.
With your help, I will be able to provide my students with basic necessities for their health and well-being on this trip.
Local community donors have gifted my students several items for travel: a hotel donated shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for students while a dentist's office donated toothpaste and mouthwash. A few items remain on our wish list. I would like to provide students with hand sanitizer, a travel adapter power strip for charging their devices, several over-the-counter medications (ibuprofen, antihistamines, decongestant, Tums), luggage locks, and thank you notes that they can send home to their families, expressing their gratitude for this life changing experience. Please help me to make our trip successful!
