My students are all over the place! I mean that in the best way, too. I love to see them learn more about music. They all want to grow in their knowledge of different instruments. They love learning in so many different ways and I want to be able to provide for the various routes to learning music theory and music notation and music performance.
All of my band students work very hard and deserve the best and that is all I want to be able to do for them.
My Project
Beginner Band is full of excited, anxious, and energetic students who want to learn to play their instruments. There are times, during the learning process, where students that play certain instruments get overly enthusiastic and break or chip their reeds while putting them on the mouthpiece or taking them off to put their instrument away.
Having an assortment of various reeds will allow me to have replacements for those students who accidentally break their reeds.
Also, teaching in a lower income school, having reeds that I can give to my students who otherwise would not be able to buy a box of reeds at a time can be extremely helpful.
